COMMUNITY OUTREACH MINISTRIES
We believe that one of the best ways to share Jesus with the world is by following His footsteps in helping meet people's needs. Whether its clothing, food, yard clean up, building a handicap accessible ramp, or sending Christmas gifts around the world, below you'll find a few of the ways we reach outside the walls the church building on a regular basis.
LIGHTHOUSE MINISTRY
Our Lighthouse Ministry is active in our community meeting people's needs and being the hands and feet of Jesus to everyone who needs it.
Lighthouse Ministry serves a variety of needs:
- clothing
- household goods
- furniture
- infant clothing and needs
Goods are available every Friday from 9 am - 11 am at Sand Ridge Baptist Church. Our friendly staff will meet with you, help you "shop", and pray with you.
All Lighthouse Ministry services are provided free of charge.
SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK
Second Harvest Food Bank exists to feed the hungry in Henderson County. Food is distributed weekly, with both perishables and non-perishables being given out, as availability allows.
Food is available every Friday from 9 am - 11 am unless it is a holiday weekend. The food pantry will not be open on holiday weekends.
***Please bring a photo ID with you if you come to receive food***
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
At SRBC, we strongly believe in doing missions, even through unconventional ways. This is why we participate in Operation Christmas Child every year. OCC shows the power of a simple gift, as millions of shoeboxes full of small toys, candy, and hygiene items are given away to children all across the world every year. OCC reports tremendous numbers of children and even parents coming to faith in Jesus Christ due to the shoebox ministry, which also included a presentation of the Gospel in their heart language. Please consider supporting OCC with your shoebox gift this year, and look below to see important dates for our church!

DISASTER RELIEF
Tennessee Southern Baptist disaster relief is Christian love in action by meeting urgent needs of hurting humanity in crisis situations. Disaster Relief is meeting those needs with loving care in timely response. Sand Ridge Baptist Church disaster relief is coordinated through the Beech River Baptist Association Disaster Relief based in Lexington TN. The Ministry was formed in 2004 after a tornado tore through Henderson County in 2003. Since that time the disaster relief ministry and its arm the Tennessee Baptist Builders has been to 3 countries and 16 states helping over 1150 churches and homeowners. The team has three goals as it responds to a disaster: (1) to give them victims HOPE, (2) to share our FAITH, and (3) to show God’s LOVE. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)
