Brother Marty came to us on June 29th and He is a graduate of Mississippi State 
University where he received a bachelor of arts degree in Communication (with
an emphasis in Journalism) while minoring in philosophy and religion. 
He is also a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
where he earned both his Master of
Divinity(1991) and Doctorate of Ministry (2009) degrees.
Bringing with him a wonderful wife Linda and 2 children Taylor (18) and Rebekah
(15).Since that time God has blessed them with an additional daughter Maddie (7)
who no doubt, helps keep them young.
While in college at Mississippi State, the ministry of the
Baptist Student Union played a vital role in his life.
God led Marty to become involved in missions and to serve
as a BSU summer missionary to Northwest Pennsylvania.
While on the mission field God provided opportunities to preach,
teach and work in evangelistic outreach. Following that experience,
Marty surrendered to the call of the ministry.Throughout his ministry,
missions have been a central focus. Over the past 14 years,
Sand Ridge has participated in international missions in Mexico,
Honduras, Thailand, Ghana and Russia. The church has also developed
a heart for Disaster Relief with teams working in areas such as
Louisiana,Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Wisconsin, Hew Hampshire, Maine,
Florida, as well as within our own state of Tennessee.
Dr. Comer’s goal at SRBC has been for the church to join God in what
He is doing at the local, state, national and international levels.
 As the church has joined God in His work, He has rewarded the church.
 We have been thru two building programs,attendance has more than
 doubled, and giving more than tripled in the past 15 years.

Mr. Keith Runyon
Director of Education and Outreach
 
Brother Keith was born in John's Creek, Ky located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains
in Eastern Kentucky.  After graduating from High School in 1985 he joined the Navy in July
1986.  Brother Keith finished Boot Camp in Chicago, IL, was stationed on many different
ships in the Norfolk area, and is a veteran of both Gulf Wars.  The Navy orderd Brother Keith 
to Jackson, TN as the Recruiter-In-Charge of Naval Recruiting for West Tennessee in January 2004 and he
came to us in March 2004 as a new member.  He retired from the Navy in January 2007 after 21 years
active service.  After retirement, Brother Keith went to work as a Loan Officer at First Bank in Lexington, TN. 
He surrendered to the ministry in September 2009 and was called to be the Director of Education
and Outreach in October 2011.  Brother Keith will graduate on May 5th, 2012 with a Bachelors of Science
in Management from Bethel University. He is married to his beautiful bride Lori Runyon and they
have three wonderful children and one special grand daughter.  Brother Keith has been a member of
Sand Ridge Baptist Church since 2004 and has been on staff since October 2011.
